Forms to Complete Eligibility Requirements
  1. FAFSA
  2. DCCCD Application
  3. Federal Stafford Loan Application (available at local banks, savings & loan associations, and credit unions)
  1. U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen
  2. Enrolled for 6 or more credits
  3. Attend pre-loan counseling
  4. Maintain satisfactory academic progress

Eligibility Requirements and Funding for these programs are subject to change without notice.

Students are urged to apply early. Priority consideration for available financial aid funds will be given to those students who have submitted complete applications on or before May 1 for the fall term and before October 1 for the spring term. Completed applications received after these dates are considered late and will be processed according to the date received and the funds available.

Before being considered for Financial Aid, a student must:

  1. Submit a complete free Application for Federal Student Aid. These forms must be obtained from the campus Financial Aid Office or your high school guidance office. The completed forms are to be submitted directly to the processor.
  2. Submit a complete DCCCD Financial Aid Application. These forms may be obtained from the campus Financial Aid Office.
  3. Submit a Financial Aid Transcript from each institution previously attended or applied to.

Written documentation (tax returns, statements of support forms from social service agencies, alien registration cards, etc.) to support the Financial Aid Application must be submitted to the Financial Aid Office before the award process can begin. This requirement applies to all forms of financial assistance including the student loan programs.
