The Dallas County Community College District complies with the provisions of Section 504 of the 1973 Rehabilitation Act and the 1990 Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The DCCCD will assist in coordinating the provision of auxiliary aids, services, and accommodations for qualified students with disabilities. To monitor compliance and provide effective services, all requests for services or accommodations related to programmatic access for distance learning courses must be referred to, processed through, and authorized by the designated Disability Services Office of the Dallas County Community College District. The designated Disability Services Office will process all requests in accordance with DCCCD policy and Section 504/ADA guidelines. The Disability Services Office has the authority to deny, with appropriate documentation, an unsupported request for services or accommodations. A student with a disability has the right to appeal a Disability Services Office decision the Section 504/ADA Compliance Officer designated by the Dallas County Community College District. The time line for response to an appeal will be in accordance with the published student grievance procedure. |
