What exactly is the Veterinary Assisting Certificate? The Veterinary Assisting Certificate is a college-level certificate of completion. It is awarded after the student has completed a total of 20 semester credit hours of collegiate instruction. Cedar Valley College is accredited by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board and the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. As such, courses taken through the college are transferable to other institutions of higher education. To complete the certificate requirements, the student must complete 9 course modules that are related to veterinary medicine and 3 courses in general education. The courses in the DEVAP curriculum can also be utilized to earn the Associate of Applied Science Degree in Veterinary Technology if the student wishes to continue their studies. |
