How much will it cost for the entire DEVAP program?

Expenses are variable depending on several factors, including:

bulletPrevious college experience applicable to degree requirements
bulletResidency status
bulletAAHA membership status

Based on current tuition costs of $319 per course, completing the nine veterinary specific courses in DEVAP will cost $2,871. Tuition for non-AAHA members is $389 per course, for a total tuition cost of $3,501 for the veterinary specific courses.

You must be a member of AAHA to receive member tuition rates. Contact the AAHA Member Services Center at 800/883-6301 for more information. Workbooks for each veterinary specific course are included in the course tuition. Textbooks, videos, postage or faxing and other supplies are additional.  Some of these materials may be shared by multiple staff members in a hospital.

For an out of state student, general education courses would cost approximately $700-800 in addition, for a total program tuition cost of approximately $3600-3700 for AAHA members. Tuition and fees for general education course, if taken through the Dallas County Community College District, are based upon the current DCCCD Tuition schedule. Students with previous college experience that will transfer for general education course requirements will have a reduced total expense.
