Estimated DEVAP Expenses

Expenses are variable depending on several factors, including:

bulletPrevious college experience which is applicable to degree requirements
bulletResidency status
bulletAAHA membership status

Based on current tuition costs of $319 per course, completing all of the veterinary specific course modules will cost $2,871 if you are an AAHA member. This cost does not include tuition and fees for general education courses.

For an out of state student, general education courses would cost approximately $700-800 in addition, for a total program tuition cost of approximately $3600-3700. Tuition and fees for general education course, if taken through the Dallas County Community College District, are based upon the current DCCCD Tuition schedule. Students with previous college experience that will transfer for general education course requirements will have a reduced total expense. Click here for information on transferring previously earned college credit.

Tuition rates for non-AAHA members are slightly higher. Practice staff now have their own membership designation within AAHA. Contact the AAHA Member Services Center at 800/883-6301 or 303/986-2800 for more information.

Textbooks, videos, postage or faxing and other supplies are additional. Some of these materials may be shared by multiple staff members in a hospital to reduce program expenses.
