Admission Requirements to the Distance Education Veterinary Assisting Program

Other than holding a high school diploma or G.E.D., there are no specific requirements for admission into the DEVAP.  Students enrolling in their first DEVAP course who are intending to receive the certificate are expected to complete and submit the following:

1.   An application to the DEVAP. (requires Adobe Acrobat Reader)

2.   An application to the Dallas County Community College District (requires Adobe Acrobat Reader)

·         Application to the DCCCD requires that students submit official transcripts from all colleges and universities previously attended, if applicable. Transcripts should be sent directly to the DEVAP office. They may be sent in either of the following methods:

a.  Sent by the college or university directly to the DEVAP

b.  Sent by the student with the program application.

*** If you send transcripts with your application, they must remain in the original, sealed envelope

3.   Off-Campus Clinical Instruction Agreements.

4.   A liability waiver.

5.   A health risk acknowledgement.
