Procrastination
Procrastination is a major time robber. It is indecision. To procrastinate is to delay accomplishing important objectives. Accomplishment of objectives is delayed because they are unpleasant or difficult. Time mastery requires supervisors to do-it-now instead of do-it-later. Success comes from doing the important things critical to obtaining results.
1. Get started.
2. Set a deadline.
3. Do the least pleasant part, usually the toughest job, first. Tackle unpleasant tasks in small pieces and short time segments.
4. Break complex tasks down into smaller steps.
5. Focus on one step at a time.
6. Delegate the task to someone else who may enjoy doing it.
7. Build a reward for yourself.
