RODEO CLUB/PHED 1100 ACTIVITIES

SPRING 2000

  1. Feb. 2,9,16,23   Put up panels for portable arena at roundpen area at Eastfield.

  2. March 8  Chute Doggin’ Contest in afternoon at Eastfield

  3. March 25 Ranch Day and BBQ at John Thornes’ Ranch near Canton

  4. April 1 Mesquite Rodeo Parade

  5. April 8 Eastfield College Scholarship Garage Sale…(prep. 6-7)   

  6. April 14, 15, 16     Ranch Trip to Clarendon       

  7. May 6  Sat.  Horse Training Workshop at Eastfield

Many other practice sessions, practice ropings, etc. will occur during the semester. Your individual rodeo/equestrian activities may be recorded for credit. Rodeo Club meetings are on Wed.’s from 12:30 to 1:30pm. (Check with instructor for room number) A collection of rodeo/equestrian training videos is on reserve in the library for your use; time spent with the videos may also be recorded for credit. The Eastfield P.E. Dept. has wt. training and exercise equipment available for student use and I would encourage those participating in rodeo events to use this equipment to improve tone and flexibility; time spent in this manner may also be recorded.
