About Cedar Valley College
Cedar Valley College is located in Lancaster, Texas in southern Dallas County. The campus is located on 353 acres just south of the Dallas city limits. The campus has an average attendance of 3000 students. CVC is one of the seven colleges and two specialty locations that comprise the Dallas County Community College District. The DCCCD serves approximately 40,000 credit students and 60,000 continuing education students yearly, including thousands of distance learning students across the globe. The DCCCD, through the LeCroy Center for Educational Telecommunications, is considered one of the largest distance education providers in the nation.
The Veterinary Technology Program at CVC became accredited and graduated its first class in 1978. Since that time, the program has continued to grow and graduates an average of 30 Veterinary Technicians each year. The Distance Education Veterinary Technology Program is an offshoot of our campus program. DEVTP has been developed in partnership with the American Animal Hospital Association.
