Accreditation Information
The Cedar Valley College Veterinary Technology Distance Education Program is fully accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association. Graduates are eligible to take credentialing examinations such as the Veterinary Technician National Examination and required state examinations in those jurisdictions that require these tests. If you have questions concerning accreditation of this program, please contact the program staff at 877/353-3482 (toll free).
What does Accreditation mean?
Programs of veterinary technology must be accredited in order for graduates to take most state registration or licensure examinations and also for taking the Veterinary Technician National Examination. The Committee on Veterinary Technician Education and Activities of the American Veterinary Medical Association is responsible for evaluating programs of veterinary technology and determining whether they meet the standards required to become accredited.
