To progress from Level Two to Level Three, students must complete all Level Two course modules and complete general education courses* in general biology and in English or speech communications. Students who have all general education requirements completed may enroll in Level Three courses immediately after completing the Level Two course in the same area of study.

Academic Credits: The above 21 course modules are a reorganization of the content in the following courses in the CVC campus Veterinary Technology Program. When all of the above course modules have been completed and the student has completed at least one credit course through CVC, 36 semester credit hours will be awarded for the following 12 courses:

    VTHT1349 - Veterinary Pharmacology

VTHT1341 - Anesthesia & Surgical Assistance 
VTHT2439 - Veterinary Nursing Care 
VTHT2323 - Veterinary Clinical Pathology I 
VTHT2331 - Veterinary Clinical Pathology II 
VTHT2321 - Parasitology 
VTHT2371 - Veterinary Radiology 

The above courses provide one-half of the 72 credit hours required for an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) Degree in Veterinary Technology.

In many jurisdictions, students must graduate from an accredited program and pass national, state, or provincial examinations in order to attain licensure, registration, or certification as a veterinary technician. Consult your local regulations for specifics. 

The Cedar Valley College Distance Education Veterinary Technology Program is accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association as a program for educating veterinary technicians.
